Clearwater Farmers Market Celebrates 17 Years

Have you ever tasted a tomato right off the vine? Perhaps you have never been to a farm, and have never had the pleasure of tasting fresh produce and goods made by local farmers. The best time of the year to visit the Clearwater Farmers Market is now, as they celebrate 17 years of providing fresh produce and a platform for local farmers to sell their goods.

If you have not visited Clearwater, Florida, or explored the great Farm Market you’re missing out. The market is filled with fresh produce, gourmet cheeses, baked goods, homegrown honey, concessions, flowers, gourmet foods, plants, eco-friendly products, live music, nuts, hand-made crafts, jewelry, art gift items and food to eat on the grounds or to take home. The 2011-2012 season starts October 19, 2011 from 9-2:00 p.m. each Wednesday, and runs through May 16, 2012.

The Downtown Clearwater Farmers Market is located at the 500 block and 600 block Station Square Park of Cleveland Street. The market provides a perfect place to meet friends, a great setting to enjoy the outdoors, and a place to stop and relax or talk with locals about things that matter to you. There are great refreshments available from several vendors, whether you are seeking fresh coffee and pastries, or a cool drink and nice long rest under the shade trees.

The Market is always looking for new, innovative vendors and locals with a great sense of GREEN market vending. If you are interested in participating in the market check out their vendor opportunities page. Make sure you come downtown as Clearwater Farmers Market celebrates 17 years of providing fresh produce and entertainment for the entire family.

Oh, and don’t forget the free 2 hour parking at Garden Avenue Garage, yours with ticket validation from the market.
