When selling a home or condo first impressions on the Internet mean everything. Our home and condo buyers just about always see photos of properties before we take them to see any in person. They either find the property themselves using our great map-based home search, or they will view photos of homes and condos that we personally email to them. So, doesn’t it make sense to put a lot of time, effort and dollars into the photography? We think so.
Quality real estate photography is quite difficult and takes a lot of equipment and knowledge. I’m sure most of you are familiar with the typical real estate photos that are dark and have “blown out,” super-bright windows. The problem is that to be able to see the interior and exterior of a home in a photo you have to be able to expose (adjust the camera lens aperture) for the outside, and then light the interior with flashes (speedlights). (Another technique is to use HDR (High Dynamic Range) processing and software, which I do use on occasion).
We photograph our listings using the following equipment:
- Nikon D90 digital SLR
- Nikon Nikkor AF-S 18-200mm Zoom Lens
- Tokina 12-24mm f/4 AT-X Pro DX AF Wide Angle Lens
- Nikon SB-800 speedlight
- 3 Nikon sb-60DX speedlights
- Gary Fong Lightsphere
- Multiple tri-pods
This range of equipment allows us to successfully light and photograph virtually any home or condo.
We also provide virtual tours using edited high-definition video, which you can read about at the following link: High-Definition Real Estate Videos.
Here are some samples of our real estate photography. I hope you enjoy them, and I look forward to photographing your home or condo should you decide to sell.
