I had the video camera and tri-pod sitting by the front door ready to go capture the Treasure Island sunset. But after working late I decided I wouldn’t have time to set everything up, so we went out the door and headed down to the beach without it.
Treasure Island Sunset
It turned out to be a nice but relatively normal sunset, as seen in the first photo. Then we saw a brilliant green flash, and I’ve been kicking myself since. I could have had it on video in high-definition for all of you to see! Hopefully I’ll get lucky again sometime in the next couple of months.
Treasure Island Twilight
As seen in the second photo, it did turn out to be a particularly nice twilight, with some great rays and vibrant pastel colors coming through some unseen clouds below the horizon, and some nuclear looking clouds bubbling up from the Gulf of Mexico.
